Why I Stopped Running Hermes on My Laptop and Moved It to a VPS
Hermes is built for persistence. The SOUL.md, the memory graph, the scheduled gateway tasks all of it assumes an agent that never sleeps. Running it on a laptop fundamentally contradicts that design. You get 60% of the value at best. The obvious fix is a VPS. A cheap Linux box running 24/7, Hermes installed, always listening. Simple in theory.
